Life IS Exciting!!!

I just wanted to say that I am so excited about life, that's right life! When I set back and think about the blessing in my life and how so many times I take that for granted I have to realize God has truly blessed me and all of us.

I have had the honor of leading Worship at Community Bible Church Van Buren now for about a year, and it is so awesome to see how when we start we barely had 30-40 people attending, now a move out of a Middle School into a new facility we are in the middle of two services and right at the 200 mark, that is a great sign of growth.

This day and age especially with the election and the economy people are searching and seeking. Seeking for something they can grasp and hold onto and not be let down, and it is so awesome that people are turning to the Lord Jesus Christ for that "something"! He is a friend that sticks closer than a brother and will never let you down. Now times will come when I feel like He has let you down, but the closer I would look at myself it was me that let Him down.

I hope all of you have a place to Worship this Sunday if not please come and check us out we are on the VanAlma Hwy on Construction Lane, you will see a red sign on a metal building that says Community Bible Church. Come check us out.

Have a great day!

A new day is coming!

I have been leading the worship at Community Bible Church Van Buren, AR for the last 9-10 weeks. It is a branch of the main Community Bible Church Ft. Smith, AR that I had the privelage to be the worship leader for almost 4 years. I got to watch us grow in a mall with only about 200 people, to a new worship center with almost 1,000 when I left. I am now back helping with their new mission and I must say it is amazing at what God is doing. Worship is something as Christians we all can relate too, it doesn't single out anyone, and when you open your heart and lift up praise to the only one that is due our praise, Jesus Christ, it is really amazing the feeling you get knowing you are doing what you know God has called you to do. It has been so exciting to watch the church grow from 35+ folks to over 100 in a little amount of time, and now we are looking at a new facility that will seat around 400 and will not have to worry about meeting at an elementary school. Now it will be in a warehouse, which I think will be cool, and it will be a process that will take minimum time and be something we as a church will be so proud of. Keep checking back and I will have some pictures of the progress and the first day in the building!

God bless,
Daniel

What a concert!

Well what can I say, I had one of my friends and all time favorite singers in my hometown of Lavaca! Michael English came to FBC Lavaca on January 18, and I must say what an amazing display of God's grace...truly! Mike has come a long way and he has truly showed that God had always been working on his life, and what was amazing about his testimony, is what is amazing about all of our testimonies. If you are willing to let Christ work in your life He will, but not until you are willing. Mike said he had tried many time to battle the issues in his life, but it was not until he totally committed to Christ, and said YES I will do what you tell me to. I love how he tells the story, its not easy, it wasn't over night and yes he had times when he felt like he could not make it, but thru Gods grace and Mikes WILLINGNESS he survived what many people would have let consume them. Michael English you are a hero to me, I believe we all need hero's (or people to look up to) and to me Mike you are one of the few I have. Thank you for being so open, so broken, and so humble. You my friend have an unbelievable talent and testimony that everyone needs to hear!!!

My Birthday 1/13/08

Well 35 years ago tomorrow January 13, 1973 I was born into this world. I must say turning 35 is pretty amazing, amazing in many ways, but the most amazing thing is just reaching that milestone! I can remember growing up thinking I would never reach 30 much less 35, not that I thought I would be dead, but that I truly believed the Lord would return before I reached 35. I do believe that even though the return of our King has not happen, I still believe it could happen any day now. I try to live my life knowing that in a twinkling of an eye our my Savior could return so I try to live my life knowing that at any minute I could be caught up in the sky. So thinking that almost hourly of my life I have to always ask myself WWJD, and I truly believe that is a powerful question to ask. My good friend Steve Wiggins wrote that song and when he told me the story behind it, I find myself thinking WWJD all the time now. One of these days I will share the story with you, but for now I will just say the main thing about writing it was that he said he just got honest about what WWJD meant, "What Would Jesus Do?". It meant exactly what it says, and what is funny we all know what Jesus would do, but do we really live the life? I don't a lot of the times, even though I know I should, and it is funny that I know when I don't do it, I ask myself "why?" Why would I neglect doing what I know my Lord and Savior would want me to do. For me I think my answer is easy, it is being scared, lazy, and I guess just no obedient. My New Years resolution is that I will be more mindful of WWJD, and live my life according to His word, because it is truly the Light unto my path. I hope everyone that reads this thinks about that little WWJD saying that we all had around our wrists or neck or whatever you had the WWJD on during the late 90's and early 2000's, and start to truly live as if Christ could return right now as we are reading this, because He could. Have a great week and I will get back with everyone soon.
God bless,
Daniel

Now is the time to Worship!

Hello everyone just wanted to post a little something before I really get big into this, and what I want to post is very simple...Now is the time to Worship our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! I have found through leading worship now for over 8 years that people are seeking our Savior now more than ever! Worship is a powerful way to engage in a relationship with our Heavenly Father, whether it be through song or through His word, or simply through prayer. So I want to encourage everyone to find time daily to Worship Christ, it is easy just do it, you know when you pray you Worship, but you also are seeking and asking and thanking and praising Christ for all He has done for you! What a Savior we have. I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Just a little note for anyone that is interested, starting in February I will be doing "Nights of Worship" around the area so I hope you will join us. If you are a church looking to fill a Sunday night with Worship let me know what I can do for you.

God bless,
